Birth To Three 25th Birthday Celebration and Alumni Reunion
Thanks to everyone who attended and made our Birth To Three 25th Birthday Celebration and Alumni Reunion such a great success. We had great weather, good people, fantastic entertainment, wonderful food, and fun activities for all. This celebration was so successful it may very well become a yearly event.
We had more than 1,000 guests, many from out-of-state. There was a wide age range represented-both of parents and children! Many of the parents reported that they still meet regularly with their groups, and many of the children who met as infants have remained friends-even through college!
If you
have memories to share about your group or experiences, please email

Here
are some of the comments people wrote in the "memories"
book.
"[We] have continued to meet for 25 years, usually monthly, and we still do 'Mom's Getaway' weekends yearly. We have supported each other through life's changes, good and bad, and look forward to the next 25 years. We have 11 children and 2 grand-children between us. Thanks for bringing us together, Birth To Three."
Sue, Sandi, Colleen, Nancy, and Mardell from a 1979 group
"Our group still meets every month...We recently had to pay off on a bet we had about which kid would be married first!"
Jacque, Jacqui, Edna, Barb, Bonnie, and Pam from another 1979 group
"I am convinced we are all better parents for having been a part of this Birth To Three group. We've shared ideas, stories, problems, losses, laughter, solutions, and love. We are forever grateful that Birth To Three brought us together for life!"
Gayle, 1984 group
"Learned so much from other moms; it felt so good to know I wasn't the only one going through things; still meet at least annually with my group."
Sheri, 1987 group
"I had looked forward to being part of a group since before I was pregnant-it was all I had anticipated: great support, great friends, great information."
Cheryl, 1988 group

"I wanted to change my parenting. I ended up changing my whole life."
Angela, 1990 group
"I was almost 44 when I had my daughter and none of my friends were in the same life situation. I met women my age who were having children, learned a lot about parenting that was invaluable, and developed close friendships...I will forever be grateful for the support I received from Birth To Three."
Rebecca, 1994 group
"My two girls and I were a part of the Teen Parent program for 2 years. My best memory was a fundraising carwash...We were out there for 5-6 hours and raised around $300. With the money we all got babysitters and went out to dinner...For one night we were all adults! It was a blast!"
Natalie, 2000 group
"My fondest [memory] is when my daughter...was sick so we kept her out of day care. The whole day all she did was eat one 8-ounce bottle and run her fingers through my goatee. I remember this because this was the first bonding moment between me and my daughter. First real bond."
Jeff, 2001 group
"I love Birth To Three because it is educational for all mothers...Maybe my English is not really good but I appreciate the way they teach...I love the people."
Lilian, 2001 group
"[A favorite memory is from our] first class when sharing our thoughts [and] experiences of our child's birth [and] a dad started out by saying that 'their birth was quite easy and didn't hurt a bit'-the mom's eyes opened and [she] had a different version of the event."
Valerie, 2004 group
