More than 4,000 telephone callers per year dial 541-485-5211 to receive support, information and referrals regarding parenting concerns such as discipline, development, sleep and temperament. Parent HelpLine is available Sunday through Friday, 9 am - 4 pm.

Welcome Baby
In conjunction with Lane County Healthy Start, all first-time parents with newborns are invited to an open house gathering offering friendly support, information about parenting, community resources and infant development, a place to weigh baby, a board book and other gifts. Held the first Tuesday of each month at 10:30 am and 6:30 pm. No fee. Call 541-485-5211 for more information.

Baby Connection

Drop in for a weekly opportunity for families with new babies to meet other families, weigh babies and consult with a lactation consultant to learn about  feeding and other parenting issues. Take home a free photo of your child or use it in a craft project. Offered Tuesdays, 11am - 12:30 pm, no fee.

Healthy Start at Birth To Three
Voluntary, on-going home visiting program for first-time parents of newborns. Family Support Workers provide parenting education, referral information and support on a weekly/monthly basis until the child is 3 years old. Free to qualified applicants. Call 541-485-5211 for more information.

Children’s Program
Offered to Birth To Three group participants with children 12 months and older. Includes creative activities, playtime with developmentally appropriate toys, music and socialization. Included with group enrollment. Call 541-485-5211 for more information.

Playtime for Parents and Children
Scheduled playtimes for families with infants and young children up to 3 years. Parents and children play, meet other families, use library of books, videos, magazines. Playtime is schedule on Wednesdays from 10 am – 12 pm. Nominal fee. Call 541-485-5211 for more information.

Open Doors
