Q: What programs does Birth To Three offer for families?
A: Families have a variety of options with Birth To Three's parenting groups and services. Some of our programs include the First 3 Years series for families with newborns or young children; Make Parenting A PleasureTM, for families dealing with stress who have children from newborn to age 8; Crecer, our group for Spanish-speaking families; and Young Parents, providing support for pregnant and parenting teens. View a list of all parenting groups here.
Q: Are Birth To Three programs expensive for families?
A: Some of our programs are free; others have fees, but all of our programs are available to all families in the community, regardless of ability to pay. Some programs use a sliding scale, some are offered free to qualified low-income families, and some provide scholarships for families that want to participate.
Birth To Three uses donations and fundraising to cover most of the costs. We do not require documentation of need. Please call us at 541-484-5316 to learn more about the program you are interested in -- or send us an e-mail.

Q: Why do people need help with parenting? Doesn't it come naturally?
A: For most new parents, a baby changes life dramatically. Parents want to do a good job raising their children, yet not all parents have the support they need. New parents may feel isolated and frustrated about their abilities or just want to share the excitement of the daily changes in their lives with someone who understands. Most parents find it helpful to become part of a supportive Birth To Three group where they can learn about child development and share information with other new parents. As an added bonus, participants in most Birth To Three groups remain friends for years! In a recent Birth To Three survey, 100% of the parents who participated said they would recommend Birth To Three to a friend, and 97% said it helped them become a better parent.
