BT3 Founder Honored with PeaceBuilder Award
First-Ever Award Given to Minalee Saks
Community Mediation Services' Chip Coker presented the Award to Minalee Saks
(Oct. 15, 2009; Eugene, Ore.) – Community Mediation Services honored its first-ever “PeaceBuilder” award winners. The awards honor those who display courage, imagination and commitment in seeking to build a culture of peace for Lane County.
The winners are:
Individual – Minalee Saks (Birth To Three)
Organization – Peace Village
Youth – Joel Rothman (North Eugene High School)
About 150 people honored the winners by attending a dessert and wine reception at Temple Beth Israel on Thursday, Oct. 15. The Awards recognized Minalee’s effect on 87,000 Lane County parents and their children in 31 years of work co-founding and being executive director of Birth To Three.
