Meet Samantha Sweeney 
At the beginning of this year, Samantha discovered Birth To Three through an online volunteer website. Even though this was her first experience volunteering, she had specific goals. “I was looking for a place where I could work directly with people and gain something from the experience…Volunteering at Birth To Three has given me the opportunity to build my people skills and learn a lot about young children...” Volunteering faithfully since February, Samantha has worked over 85 hours in the Children’s Program. Her service includes time on Infants, Ones and Twos groups. Her highlights have been,” working with the families and seeing them every week has been a pleasure. When the children are that young, you can really see them develop…Volunteering in all the different age groups has been incredible and has helped me learn to recognize the different stages in the children’s growth.”
Birth To Three staff are delighted that Samantha will continue her volunteer service as the 2008-2009 Junction City High School year begins.
